Your data isn’t with us.
Your training data is in one vault on your Mac, and we keep no copy of it. Nothing leaves unless you ask, to sync or to share. No account needed, no usage tracking. Here is everything that can leave, and when.
The app
- Your AI app
- Only if you connect one. It sends what it reads to its own provider, on that provider’s terms.
- The update check
- Only if you turn updates on.
- Platform connections
- Only the ones you turn on. Each talks only to its own platform.
- Phone app, backup and coach sharing
- Not built yet. Each will be opt-in, encrypted, and listed here before it ships. Godwit Pro and coach sharing will need an account, which you can delete; using Godwit without them never will.
- Anything else
- Never. No analytics, crash reports or third parties. A test fails the build if the app tries.
Your record
One vault on your Mac, with every file you import kept as it arrived. Export everything in open formats or delete it all from settings, any time. Encryption at rest and a log of who has accessed your data are planned before Beta. It stays readable on your Mac whether or not you ever pay for Godwit Pro.
This website
No cookies and no ads. Cloudflare hosts the site and, like any host, sees your IP address to deliver the pages. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies or track individual visitors.
If you join the sign-up list, we keep your email address, the date and which form you used, and use them only to tell you when Godwit Beta opens. To be removed, email [email protected].
